Osku Palermaa and Kamilla Kjeldsen crowned champions

The inaugural European Bowling Tour Masters was held at the Rollhouse Bowling Centre after the conclusion of the EBT Ankara Open. The top 16 men and women from the 2007 EBT rankings were invited to compete in the tournament with Wu Siu Hong (Hong Kong) and Nina Flack (Sweden) replacing Kimmo Lehtonen (Finland) and Ivonne Gross (Austria). All bowlers played 8 games each on three patterns - long, short and dual - with the top 8 progressing to the single elimination final.
After 24 games Isabelle Sacco (France) led with Ghislaine van der Tol second (Netherlands) and Kirsten Panny (England) third. Joining them in the final were Nina Flack (Sweden), Zara Glover (England), Krista Pöllänen (Finland), Britt Brøndsted (Denmark) and Kamilla Kjeldsen (Denmark). The men's qualifying was topped by Dominic Barrett (England) with Osku Palermaa (Finland) second and Dennis Eklund (Sweden) third. Martin Larsen (Sweden), Wu Siu Hong (Hong Kong), Pasi Uotila (Finland), Robert Andersson (Sweden) and Paul Moor (England) joined them in the final.
In the men's quarter finals Moor defeated Barrett 2-1, Palermaa defeated Andersson 2-0, Uotila defeated Eklund 2-1 and Siu Hong defeated Larsen 2-1. In the women's quarter final Kjeldsen defeated Sacco 2-1, Brøndsted defeated van der Tol 2-1, Penny defeated Pöllänen 2-1 and Glover defeated Flack 2-1.
The men's semifinals saw Palermaa defeat Moor 2-1 and Uotila defeat Siu Hong 2-1 while in the women's semi final Kjeldsen defeated Penny 2-0 and Brøndsted defeated Glover 2-0. In the men's final, Uotila won the first game 212-180 but Palermaa took the second game 220-207 and took the third game 242-209 to become the Masters Champion. In the women's final Kjeldsen won the first game by just one pin, 188-187, and took the second game 237-179 to become the Masters champion,
