The organizer of the 8th Qatar International Open Bowling Tournament 2008 has decided to shorten the period of the tournament from 4-13 December to 6-13 December 2008.

The number of squads is at the same time reduced from 22 to 18, but since there are 64 spots avail-able in each squad, there are still plenty of spots available for the players.

The tournament appears for the first time in the European Bowling tour as Stop 18, which also is the last stop of the EBT 2008. The tournament opens its tour appearance with a total prize pool of not less than 120.000 €.
