I read online (i spend a lot of time reading online) that a way of cleaning your reactive ball and getting that oil out of it (and therefore increaseing its life so to speak) other than baking it in the oven is to infact pop it in your dishwasher (without the dishes) and stick in on a cycle. Anyone tried this method or got any other suggestions?

I find that simply sticking it in a sink full of hot water works well. Only takes a few minutes. Don't leave it in too long though, or do it too often because it can damage the ball

A good way of extracting Lane conditioner out of your Bowling Ball is!
Make your self a Cabinet 500mm x 500mm x 500mm. Fix a light inside with a 40 watt Bulb, then put your ball inside on a tray of Cat litter. Close the door on it and leave it for 24 hours.
The bulb creates enough warmth to Bleed the conditioner out of the ball.
The cat litter then absorbs it, Job done.
Works for me.

whats the suggested bleeding frequency then? lets say i play 80 frames a week and im not a good bowler so i my strike ratio is low so assuming a 30 percent strike average over those 80 frames that means the ball sees the lane approx 136 times per week.

Hmm...Tcut and cat litter. Never heard those before.
For everyday cleaning I use Wipe N Strike ball cleaner wipes. They cost £3-4 per pack and one pack will normally last me about a month. They are good for reviving the natural tackiness of the ball surface and they are non-abrasive so they don't change the surface in any way. And they don't leak and make a mess in your bag.
