I was having a look on an american bowling forum and they have videos of their own bowling form for others to learn from and comment on. I was hoping from this to see whats wrong with my release and learn how to create greater hook.

So does anyone here have their own videos they could show both for people to comment on to help improove your game and to help those like me who are just starting out.

Poodle, At Wigan we have the facility to Video you, analyze you, and then put it on DVD for you to take home.

In the next few wks we will have a portable C.A.T.S. Type of system, which is
Ebonite’s DigiTrax is a portable alternative to the Computer Aided Tracking
System (CATS). DigiTrax is a software package that uses 30 frames a second of
digital video to calculate a bowler’s ball path with a complex analysis of 16
individual data points including: laydown board, loft distance, launch angle,
launch boards covered, board at the arrows, launch speed, launch boards
covered, midlane speed, entry speed, breakpoint board, entry board, backend
boards covered, total boards covered, hook power and more.
With DigiTrax, users can review the amount of skid, shape of the shot
trajectory as well as the backend reaction strength of individual shots. And,
the user has access to all of the raw data. This allows for a complex analysis in
tournament preparation such as comparison of bowling ball layouts, releases
and lane conditions.
The data is presented both graphically and
numerically. So, users get the value of seeing the shape of the shot with the
ability to analyze the raw data. One of the most useful features of DigiTrax is
the statistical data of the average and range for all shots for the session. And,
with the range data, DigiTrax identifies a bowler’s inconsistencies by displaying
a red arrow when the range is too high. The data is also color coded by
individual shot.
When you scroll over one of the columns of data, the shot is displayed
graphically on the left with a thick blue line making is easy to see the visual
match of the shot with the data. In addition, placing the cursor on any part of
the graphic trajectory line will display both the board information and the
actual distance of that point on the ball path line for the user.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ti-Mr-V45yM

see that video there (from the american forum) thats how i would like to bowl, im not bothered at this stage about being board perfect time and again with a consistant accuracy i realise that comes with time and repetition. I just wanna be able to swing and release correctly to create the hook at least then i would be able to have something to practice and work on my constistancy with im improoved thats for sure ,time and practice.

tommoro is A M FWEDNESDAY, so hopefully ill get somewhere closer.

F.A.O the lads/ladies at Wigan,
In one of your posts you mentioned that you could analyze how someone bowl, inconsistances etc.....
I am reseasonably new to league bowling, well say coming on 5 months bowling properly in the Pin Pals league (Macclesfield).
I have searched the Internet for advice, videos etc which have all helped along with some tips from people I bowl with.
However, I am sure that something is amiss, although I bowl averagely well, I dip in form and think that somewhere I have a TIMING ISSUE and occasional release issue which causes me to place the ball left of my target.
Sometime in the future, I will be looking at getting such tips and coaching lessons and wanted to know what services you have on offer and how much they cost so I can look into this further.
Kind regards
Alan
