this is Greg Marcus not tom collins, i cant remember my password so for the time being used this account. I was just wondering what is happening at blackburn at the minute regarding patterns? I bowled on tuesday night in the doubles league which is a nice friendly league but didnt find the lanes hard... found them near impossible. there was 4 areas to the right part of the lane.. a bit when if your ball hit there it kept on going, a bit next to that where it would move across the lane like there was no oil, then a bit where it wouldnt move then a bit where it would go straight across the lane again. ive noticed for the last few months practising there that the patterns have very much gone down hill for some reason when for 2 years the bowling alley was with out doubt in the top 5 of the country. im not sure whether its due to cut backs or the recession, but people no longer talk about blackburn as the great centre it is anymore.. more like i wonder what condition will be down tonight. Is there going to be another tweak in the pattern this tuesday? because both leagues struggled not just myself. would like to hear some feed back from people if its just me thinking the patterns arent up to the standard they were, im not talking about at the start where it was a carryfest im talking when the pattern was fair for everyone.
Yes Greg they were very near impossible to play on Tuesday night. I did speak to Paul And Edwin about it and that pattern wont be down next week, hopefully it will be back to as near normal next week. Paul (the manager apologized for what happended) and told me the main tec would be coming down on the 16th to sort it out. They have spent a lot on the machine over the past few months so it should be sorted then.

Hi, guys. I can say with 100% certainty that tomorrow nights conditions won't be like they were last week. We've got Ian, the chief tech of the company up on Monday the 15th to give the Kustodian a once over. I worked the Thursday night league and they were extremely pleased with the consistency compared to the previous months. I'm hoping you guys say the same on Tuesday night, both the scratch and the doubles. I need feedback though, the more I know the more I can help.
I'm doing the best I can, it's just hard because I only get to find out what the conditions are like on league nights, so it's a long/slow process. I think i'm about 90/95% there.

As i said last week the management were as upset as the bowlers with the pattern that was down. Its good to know that they are trying their best to get it right. Hopefully we can give good feedback tomorrow.
