TOURNAMENT RULES & REGULATIONS
This tournament is a Team England ranking event and is sanctioned (30/0013) by the British Tenpin Bowling Association (B.T.B.A.) & their general playing rules together with the following will govern this tournament:
All bowlers must, if British, be a current member of the BTBA & show their membership card when registering. Non-members will be able to join on the day. Any entrant unable to produce a current BTBA membership card may participate on payment of a £5 penalty fee. Non-British entrants must be members of their country’s bowling association & be in good standing. No person may play in this tournament other than those originally entered unless authorised by the tournament manager.
Team England Ranking points will be based on the eight (8) game qualifying round. Only current members of the BTBA will be eligible for Team England ranking points.

). He reserves the right to reject any entry & his decision on all matters is final subject to appeal to the BTBA.
A provisional ball must be rolled if any dispute relating to pinfall cannot be resolved immediately. All protests must be made in writing to the tournament manager within 30 minutes of the game the infraction occurred.
Bowlers should wear suitable attire. Denims, t-shirts, vest tops & for men only, shorts will not be permitted.
Closing date for entries will be 21st October 2009. The tournament manager reserves the right to cancel a squad should there not be sufficient numbers.
Registration for all teams will begin 30 minutes prior to squad start time & will close 10 minutes prior to the start time at which point a lane draw will take place to decide each teams starting lane. The tournament manager reserves the right to re-sell places not claimed after this time.
A tie for any position placing, at any point of this tournament will be decided by the team with the highest last game pinfall. If this too is equal then the second to last game will be used & so forth.
Eating and the consumption of alcohol is prohibited during play or lane changes. Any player, who in the opinion of the tournament manager is considered to be under the influence of alcohol at any time, may be disqualified from the tournament forfeiting any prize monies, Team England ranking points & will be reported to the BTBA.
Official score sheets must be maintained by all teams. It is the responsibility of each team captain to record every games result, ensure the opposition signs the score sheet on completion of each game, & then on completion of your squad the score sheet is returned to registration. Incomplete, illegible, & unsigned score sheets will not be accepted. So as to avoid any disruption during play it is required that all score sheets be located on the lane tables at the rear of the bowler’s seating area. All score sheets will be collected after each game by our scoring team.
Team England & the BTBA reserve the right to carry out random ball checks.
All teams during all rounds will move lanes after each game, to cover a full spread of all lanes in use. Lane movements will be as advised on your score card.
Ladies, Seniors (over 60’s on 24/10/2009) and Juniors (under 18’s on 24/10/2009) will all receive 8 pins per game bonus (maximum 8 pins per game).
All prizes will paid by cheque there is no alternative option available. Prizes will be given at the presentation ceremony after Squad C on Sunday 25/10/2009. All prize winners are required to be present to receive their prize.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
First Round (Qualifying)
Qualifying will consist of an eight game series with the highest four consecutive games being submitted to the leader board. From each qualifying squad the top two teams with the highest four consecutive games will progress to the 2nd round by default. They will be joined by the top 10 teams on the leader board who have not already progressed.
Pinfall for the highest four consecutive games is carried forward.
Second Round
Will be a three game series. A lane draw will be carried out prior to bowling to decide your starting lane. The top eight teams on pinfall after this round will progress to the third round and will be seeded one thru eight. Pinfall will be carried forward. The bottom eight teams will be placed on the leader board in positions 9 thru 16.
Third Round
Will be a three game series. A lane draw will be carried out prior to bowling. On completion of this round the team with the highest pinfall will be declared tournament champions with all other teams being placed on the leader board in positions two thru eight.
SQUAD TIMES
Preference will be given to teams travelling more than 80 miles to the tournament. (N/b Preference cannot be held after 9th September 2009, so please ensure early entry.) There will be 5 minutes practice play before each squad and round. During quieter squads and/or Rounds 2 & 3 open bowlers may be also be bowling in the centre.
