Congratulation to the following teams who have worn the crown of league champion in the past three months:
Piggybank (Mick Roberts, Pete Wainwright, Julian and Brian thomas) clinched the Ron Brooks Toyota trios at the eleventh hour by one point from treble scotch.
Moss won their second premier doubles title in four years and the father and son combo of Dennis and Gavin Henshaw did it in similar emphatic fashion to their 2005 success finishing 22 points clear of runners-up Ice Dragons.
Another team with a second title under their belt, and back-to-back ones, Suk-is-Bak successfully defended their Derbyshire Building Society trios title. A squad containing England bowlers were rarely in danger in another landslide points triumph of over 20 points although not quite as dominant as last season when they won by a whacking 40 points! Squad Jo and Darren Cundy, Darren Mcfadden, Russ Draper and Nick Kiss. Darren Cundy has begun the new season in stupendous fashion – averaging 239 over 18 games!
Personal bests
Mick Wright - 699
Hard luck on just missing his 700, still trying after ******** years! Consistant games of 235-231-233 but Mick tells me there were some open frames in there which cost him!
Julia Thomas - 690
Kind regards
Wendy Thurlby General Manager
