We're thrilled to have India take the time out of her busy schedule to meet the club and raise money for charity with us.Dave Harmon, from Wigan Youth Bowling Club
India's visit to Wigan was organised by Fred Miller, who has been a coach with the club for the last nine years. Fred, who is a builder in Runcorn, said: "I'm currently doing a loft conversion for her cousin, Maria De Beaufort-Eaton. When I told her about what the club was doing for Children In Need this year she got in touch with India for me and she was happy to help. I was absolutely made up when I heard."
The club will raise money for the BBC Children in Need charity by challenging members of the public to a game of bowling, which will cost them £2.50. If the Wigan Youth Tenpin Bowling Club member wins the game they get to keep the money. If they lose they still get to keep the cash, but the winner will be given a free game voucher.
Fred added: "In the past few years we've managed to raise around £300, but we're hoping to raise more this time around. India will be signing a pair of bowling shoes which we will put up for auction online. With lots of other goodies to raffle and auction off it look like being a great day for Children In Need".
