HELD AT LAKESIDE PRESTON BOWL ON FRIDAY 12th JUNE 2009

Present    Edwin Whitehead, Steve Ray, Mike Glover, Barbara Glover.
Apologies.    Chris Aldersley

1.    Due to the lack of attendees at the meeting it was decided to change the format for this meeting and also for the future.

2.    EW proposed that we stopped with the formalised quarterly meetings as they were now very poorly attended, more or less the same four every time.

3.    He suggested that we have informal gatherings as when necessary to discuss matters in more of a social atmosphere.

4.    He also proposed that Lancashire try and develop more social club like gatherings.

5.    His idea was to try and set up five social/bowling events for our Lancashire members each year.  Eg The trials, the County Championships, the Awards Night, some sort of charity bowling event and one other to be decided, spread evenly over the 12 months.

6.    If at these informal meetings a team manager could not attend then he/she would be required to submit a brief written report ( one paragraph would be sufficient) about their teams planning/performance/results.

7.    Any requests for money/cheques for tournament lineage etc must be in writing (email) to Steve Ray .

8.    EW agreed to chase up the return of the trophies from last years winners at the County Championships ready for the awards night on 12th July 2009   Tickets are now available.

9.    The executive still required the financial statement for last year and this year in the format agreed by SR at the AGM in January.  The finances are much tighter this year due to the credit crunch, less fund raising taking place and reduced membership contributions from Head Office. The executive need an up to date report to know whether they can continue financing the lineage for all our county teams.

10.    The Albert Purseglove memorial vase.  SR visited Freda Purseglove who said that she would like the vase to be placed in her garden rather than in the church yard.  SR would arrange this.

11.    The date of the next meeting will be circulated when arranged
