England's Dom Barrett has won the stepladder finals of the 20th Irish Open Championships held at  the LeisurePlex Stillorgan bowling centre in Dublin. Dom Barrett defeated defending champion Nick Froggatt (England) 219-217 in the title match after earlier defeating Paul Carter (England) 219-204. Fourth was Kim Brøndsted (Denmark) who had lost to Carter 236-176 in the first stepladder match.

USA's Bill Hoffman and Austalia's Anne Maree Putney have triumphed in the QubicaAMF World Cup held in St Petersburg Russia.  Putney went to the best of three game step ladder final as top seed and defeated Lee Sun Hee of Korea 280-201, 247-226. Sun Hee had earlier defeated Tina Hulsch of Germany 226-223, 258-227. In the men's stepladder final, Bill Hoffman defeated top seed Jason Belmonte of Australia 227-147, 192-268, 221-181. Hoffman had earlier defeated Andres Gomez of Colombia 247-196, 276-205 in the first match.

Nick Froggatt has defeated Tony Fransson 227-207 in the final of the 1st Maribor Open Strike Tournament in Slovenia which was broadcast live on Slovenian television. The English left hander who won 8000 Euros, qualified top of the stepladder after bowling 2210 over the previous 9 games.
