Nickey O'Malley and Brenda Pratt won the Irish Senior Open held at the Superdome, Palmestown on the weekend of 8th and 9th September. Nickey had entered the round robin final in second place but overcame long time leader Al Jenkins to take the title with 4777. Mick Ince was second with 4733, John Wilson third with 4682 and fourth was Stew Meadus with 4654.

Brenda Pratt won the ladies section with 3041. Second was Kaz Barfoot with 2969 and third was Bernie Moriarty with 2967.  Furth was Jacqui Cooper on 2851.
